Searching for airline flights can be confusing and a hassle. In the quest to save money, you can spend hours comparing multiple sites which can leave you slightly annoyed and with so many things to compare that you could feel more uncertain than informed. A vacation that you are excited to take could turn into a stressful quest for bargain shopping.

I've used many flight search tools including those ‘cheap flight’ search tools promising lowest fares. In my experience, two consistently trustworthy resources with good value for US travelers are Expedia and Orbitz. I also like Google Flights, Kayak.com, and Jetradar.com however often I find myself back to Expedia or Orbitz for booking anyway.

Yes, it's possible to find some slightly lower fares but I have found that sometimes the value trade-offs for me are not worth it.
